Facial massage after aesthetic procedures should be done with caution to avoid toxin migration or filler displacement.

Here are the general recommendations:
1. Recommended Waiting Time After Botox: It is recommended to avoid facial massages, especially deep ones, for the first 24 to 48 hours. Some specialists suggest waiting 1 to 2 weeks for more intense massages (such as modeling massage) to ensure that the toxin settles in the muscle.
After Hyaluronic Acid: It is crucial to avoid massaging the filled area for at least 5 days to 2 weeks. Early massage can move the product, altering the shape molded by the doctor.
2. Facial Lift Massage Care: Intensity: The massage should be gentle, especially in the area where the filler was applied. Filler Areas: If there is filler in the cheeks or nasolabial fold, avoid direct and deep pressure on these areas. What is LED Light Therapy

LED Light therapy widely trusted by skin care professionals worldwide for its anti-aging properties. It is medically certified in the treatment of active acne, psoriasis, rosacea, wound healing and muscular skeletal pain relief; in short, LED light therapy provides the client with clinically proven results.

LED light therapy works on a cellular level, penetrating deep into the individual cells, tightening their cell function and stimulation their dermal blood flow; this results in rejuvenated skin and muscles. LED light therapy is suitable for everyone (providing they are not currently taking topical creams or ointments) as it requires no down time and the light colour is tailored specifically to their own skincare/muscular skeletal concerns.

At The Colour Palette Salon, we use a 360 degree system for maximum wavelength coverage; be it face or body treatment. Our system uses red, blue, green, yellow, cyan and purple light; each light can be used to target a specific skin or muscular skeletal concern.
Red Light: Anti aging, relieves muscular skeletal issues, soothes arthritis, soothes fibromyalgia, reduces psoriasis, reduces rosacea and aids the healing of new scar tissue (reducing the appearance of old tissue can be achieved using a combination of LED light therapy and micro-needling).
Blue Light: improves symptoms of SAD related depression, treats active acne, evens out skin tone, reduces psoriasis and reduces enlarged oil gland.

LED Light therapy can be used on the face, neck, shoulders, chest, arms, hands/fingers, abdomen, back, buttocks, upper leg (front and back, lower leg (front and back) and feet/toes. Each session will involve 30 minutes on bed treatment time and allow 15 minutes pre/post treatment with your therapist.

All stand alone LED light therapy sessions are 45 minutes in length and decided upon on the day of the appointment; to book online or over the phone you simply need to book an LED light therapy treatment.

What happens during my on the day pre treatment consultation?

During the pre treatment time, you will discuss with your therapist where your area of concern is (e.g. the lower back) and what your specific concern is (e.g. live acne); your therapist will then discuss treatment options with you (which colour light therapy is recommended and how many sessions etc).

For best results we generally recommend 2 sessions per week for 6-8 weeks. During your treatment the treatment area will be cleansed, toned, receive light therapy and moisturised; in addition to this your therapist will preform a relaxing massage during your LED light session: The massage received will depend on the area being treated as the therapist is unable to massage areas actively undergoing the LED light session.
